Sevigny also revealed that the performance was deeply personal, describing it as a means of ‘reclaiming herself’ during the height of her fame.
The actress commented: “I’ve done many explicit scenes, but I’m not that interested in doing any more. I’m more self-aware now and wouldn’t be able to be as free, so why even do it?”
Meanwhile, Gallo, never one to shy away from controversy, offered his own quirky anecdote about preparing for the shoot.
“What I did was drink a lot of pineapple juice,” he said at Cannes. “Pineapple juice makes everything taste better, and I tried to stay as clean as I could.”
